Eagle River to Fairbanks to my camera

Sometime late last summer I got the sweetest inquiry from a family who had moved from Eagle River to Fairbanks. In her inquiry, Katie wrote, I was doing research and came across your site, your work is incredible.  We would like to get some outdoor fall family portraits done, would you have time to fit us in your schedule before the leaves drop?  It was one of those sentences that you read twice. Where you think, wow, she used the word incredible. Did I read that right? And then of course the in-my-head-calendar-date-scramble trying to see if we did have a spot to squeeze them in.

Well maybe the Universe was working in our favor: 1) we were able to get them on the calendar ... 2) our lives intertwined outside of this sphere which made it even more evident that we were destined to meet one way or another! and 3) ... they have a little surprise coming this year. I cannot wait!

Katie made it so easy on me. She shared all these details she loves about her family, what makes them important to her and brought up a simple request, could we possibly bring in their 10 week old sled pups at the end? It would mean so much to all of them. Seriously - kids and puppies? I, for one, cannot say "no" to that request :) that is right up my alley! See the fun for yourself!

I get to meet the most incredible families. I am pretty sure they are the ones who make my world 'incredible'.
