Five on Friday

1. I know! (Yes, it's Friday ... no matter how many times I check the calendar, it's still Friday & November!) Where have I been this week?!? (And yes, as a side-note, it has been one of those weeks. Very much looking forward to kickin' it to the curb.) Well besides the normal chaos & hub-bub of every day life & running a business ... I've been delivering lots of these: I *cannot* wait to see all of these up & displayed!

2. We've been doing a few more crafts these days some very unsuccessfully I might add ;) giving way to the holiday spirit. Yes, they've been singing "Jingle Bells" since July ... the months & weather clearly don't stop my holiday happy crew! This here is (the beginning of) our "Thankful Chain" (which was at first referred to as the "Thankful Train" - either way! it works, I'm goin' with it) ... every day we will share what we are thankful for, right up until the big day itself where I was informed, "We'll eat lots of chicken! I can't wait!"

3. In my SPARE time ;) we've been diligently working behind-the-scenes conjuring up some fund-raising efforts for everything we are doing. We're still trying to pull the last bits of it together ... but I have to say I am touched by the amazing generosity of the people we know - both IRL and online ... yes! Some of our donations have come in through blog & twitter-ville - can you believe it?!?!!! {whispering: sometimes I can't. that is amazing. I am so touched by the people who want to give to help. you all are amazing.} More details on this to follow.

4. I remember this day so well. She was working so hard to balance that tiny little berry on her hand. Placing it ever so gently. It would roll off ... she never got frustrated ... just tried again. There's a bigger message there I think.

*ETA: Okay! I had to add my own little "ETA" ... some items we had before today (handmade Alaskan quilt & a few other things) but a few of these have just come in over the past 24hours - I'm not even kidding! Thank you ALL so much! We are so incredibly grateful for your love & support on this journey. We couldn't be more humbled by the generosity of people who've offered to donate things they have (gift cards, their own skills & talents to help this go off without a hitch, emails/links/contacts with others who may be able to help us, etc.) - yes, wonderful, amazing people & businesses too! I just spoke with Matt Hodges of Pioneer Wells (who was wonderful to talk to! so generous - thank you, thank you!) and the talented Kelsey Anderson of Kelsey Anderson Photography & The Design Shop. And of course many more that go unmentioned as we touch base with each other & they let me know how they would like to contribute.

Thank you all SO much! There are no words.

I will just leave you with another quote that crossed my path today:

"So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you." — Paulo Coelho

I think the past 24 hours say so much, it's hard to even put it into words.
