Holey-mole-y, thank goodness for Wordless Wednesday - some weeks that's about all I have time for! :) The summer is definitely gearing up and there's no hiding that in my shooting schedule, that's for sure! Phone calls & e-mails wondering about availability and open session dates ... I have two one date open as of right now: July 31st (a Friday afternoon/evening shoot) and August 3rd (Monday, same thing depending on child, family, senior, etc.). And then that's it until September! I know, crazy. Cannot believe I am already talking about September. I'm hoping to have that schedule up soon ... as always, first come, first serve so shoot me an e-mail if you are ready to book your September/October session. Deadlines! :) (I know, so not a fun word.) If you are a Senior, you pretty much need to have your session done in July/August/September to make the yearbook deadline. If your school accepts a digital file for your yearbook, let me know! We can sometimes shoot you a little bit later if they don't require an actual print.
Families - & everyone else :) - I take sessions up through the last few days in October ... all weather permitting of course. Kiddos younger than 5, our 'outside' cut-off date typically hits around October 15th. After that, it is just much too cold to do a session with them in the snow (you know we'll have snow by then! haha). If you want a snow scene ... we almost always have snow by that second week in October. Just an FYI. And we can definitely do some indoor shoots too, just let me know your preference.
Holiday deadlines are the same! As long as your session hits before November 1st, you will have your holiday goodies in-hand when & where you need them. :)
I continue to shoot newborns & babies under about 8 months through the winter - so if you fit the bill (expecting, newborn, young baby), drop me a line and we'll start scheduling you September & on.
Phew! Now that the housekeeping is out of the way (since when did this become 'Housekeeping Thursday' - ack!) ... a quick phone shot of my new display up at Interior Women's Health :D
(not too shabby for a little phone snap!)
I'm so excited to have my work displayed there! I adore working with newborns and their mothers and feel blessed to share the world through my eyes in this display. It's been over a year in the making! Nice to finally let the cat out of the bag. ;)
Back to shooting, editing (et. al.) & being mama! Be on the look-out for my donation at this year's Fairbanks Montessori Auction gala. I continue to meet wonderful families through that school - can't wait to hear who won! I think it's coming up in August. Keep your eyes peeled.
In the meantime ... a quick shot or two from our visit to my uncle's cabin over the weekend. It's one of those places that from the moment you enter ... you breathe deeper and feel more rested (even if your baby was sick the whole time you were there ;) ).
Not to air any-one's dirty laundry ... but seriously, can you imagine sleeping in this loft?! Just gorgeous. The open floor plan is just divine.
You would think this is a shot of a game of spoons, no? Nah ... just trying to will those bamboo floors to come & live with me. (Don't even get me started on the kitchen!)
Hello dump trucks that lived in almost every shot. ;)
I think this 'left over cabin' is just used for storage at this point ... but saw the folded up old school lawn chair & couldn't resist.
Hope everyone enjoyed their day of 7-8-09! :)
And now back to our regularly scheduled program.
